Agnes Marie (Mallery) Williams

We celebrate the remarkable life of Agnes Marie Williams, a cherished soul who peacefully departed this world on April 29, 2026. Born on October 15, 1945, in Houston, Texas, Agnes was a beacon of love and compassion. Her life reflected a deep and unwavering commitment to family, faith, and service over the course of 80 years.

Agnes was the beloved daughter of Lawrence James Mallery, Sr. and Ola Mae Mallery, who instilled in her the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lawrence J. Mallery, Jr. She carried their legacy with her, honoring them through the way she lived and loved.

A proud graduate of Evan E. Worthing High School and the Hermann Hospital School of Vocational Nursing, Agnes devoted more than 30 years to serving others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Her gentle spirit and compassionate care left a lasting impression on the patients and families she served. She lived her calling with quiet strength and dignity.

In 1965, Agnes was united in holy matrimony with Leslie Lee Williams, and together they welcomed two sons, Andre’ and Marcus. Later in life, she welcomed her son Dwight, further expanding the family she so deeply cherished. Agnes was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother to eight, and a great grandmother to two. Her family was the center of her world.

She brought warmth and joy wherever she went. Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, Agnes had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and at ease. She was the heart of family gatherings, and those moments will remain treasured by all who knew her.

Agnes was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for over 50 years. Her faith guided her life and shaped her actions. Through her involvement in the Legion of Mary, Sisters in the Spirit and the Knights of Peter Claver, she lived out her beliefs through service, grounded in charity, unity, and faith.

In her leisure time, Agnes enjoyed watching crime procedurals, especially NCIS, and had a love for travel. Whether near or far, she found joy in new experiences, but nothing brought her greater happiness than time spent with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Andre' (Yolanda), Marcus, and Dwight (Jasmine); her siblings, Eugene Mallery and Janet Hunter; her grandchildren, Aundrea (Michael), Wesley Christopher, Dwight, JaMarcus, Dailey, Giovanni, Leighton and Romeo, her great-grandchildren, Wesley Khari and Auden, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to celebrate her legacy of love and kindness.

Though Agnes has departed this life, her spirit remains present in the lives she touched. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

May she rest in eternal peace.
