Albert James Joseph, affectionately known as "Poochie," Dad, and Papa, peacefully transitioned at his residence on October 26, 2024, at the age of 84.

A Homegoing Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Troy B. Smith Professional Services, 9013 Scott Street, Houston, Texas. The family will welcome visitors for viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens.

Albert was born on May 4, 1940, in New Iberia, Louisiana, to the late Clarence Joseph, Sr., and Rebecca Joseph. He served proudly in the U.S. Army starting in 1957 and later joined the Navy during the Vietnam Era. His love for travel took him across the country, from the West Coast to the East Coast, and everywhere in between. Albert was known for his love of sports and his keen interest in world events.

Albert's greatest pride was his family, especially his beloved daughter, Rasheeda Denning, to whom he passed on his love for music, resilience, and unwavering faith. A committed advocate for community progress, he was a steadfast supporter of Muhammad's Economic Blueprint initiative.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence Joseph, Sr., and Rebecca Joseph; his siblings, Charles Joseph, Clarence Joseph, Jr., Lorenza Jones, Janet Powell, Harry Joseph, Alvin Joseph, Cecelia Martin, Emma Ruth Joseph, and Ruby Jane Joseph; and his beloved granddaughter, Jamilia Ahmed.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Rasheeda Denning (Brian Denning, Sr.); his grandchildren, Whitney, Aaliyah, Brian Jr., Laila, and Nadia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. His legacy of love, faith, and dedication lives on through them all.
