Obituary

Allen Richard was born on October 23, 1944 to Earnest and Elvina Richard in Eunice, LA. Allen was called home to glory on November 3, 2024. He grew up in Eunice, LA where he attended school at Charles Drew Learning Academy.

After attending school he decided to focus on supporting his family and began working.  He worked at Star Steel & Supply for 20 years. After 20 years of dedication to Star Steel & Supply, he began a new career as a Lead Caretaker at Lutheran Church where he retired years later.

Allen was a member of New Zion Number Two Baptist Church as a child. After meeting his lovely wife Hattie Richard, he joined The Rock Ministries International under Pastor David Pittman.  When his eldest son, Pastor Alvin L. Proctor, began his ministry at Kingdom of Grace Ministries, Allen joined as a member.

Allen met the love his life Hattie Edna Richard in 1965. Together, they built a family rooted in love, strength, and tradition. They raised five children with their values, welcomed eight grandchildren who carried forward their legacy, and celebrated thirteen great-grandchildren who added new joy. Their profound impact lives on in each generation, a lasting legacy of love and perseverance.  Lovingly known as Pawpaw by his grandchildren and great grandchildren he represented unwavering strength, boundless love, and a steady source of wisdom in their lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Elvina Richard, In-Laws Wallace Leon and Annie Bell Proctor, Wife: Hattie Edna Richard, Grandson; Michael Rene Proctor, Siblings; Albert Richard, Gladys Richard, Alice Vaughn, and Mercedes Guillory. He is survived by his children; Alvin (Stephena), Henrietta, Henry, Anthony (Tommie), and Shawn.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Becky(Larry), Alvin Jamaal, Baron(Alecia), Johnathan, Tiffany, Zelika, and Gabriel. As well as Son in Law, Zenebe and a host of great grandchildren and loved ones.
