Andre Lee
Walker
Jul 10, 1952 — Aug 9, 2025
Andre Lee Walker, 73, passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on July 10, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana, Andre was the beloved son of Edith Lisk and Lee Walker. He spent much of his life in California, where he developed a deep passion for mechanical work, fishing, and proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps.
Andre began his military journey with basic training at Camp Pendleton and continued his service at Camp Lejeune, dedicating four honorable years to our country. He was known among his fellow Marines for his grit, unwavering work ethic, and determination for excellence.
Outside of his military service, Andre found great joy in welding, working at the Toyota Center, and spending time with his family—especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his strong presence, tough love, and playful sense of humor that left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Andre is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Linda Walker; sisters Reena adams-davis, janelle hopkins, and april hopkins; sons Demetris Williams, James Wicker Jr.(April Wicker), and Leandre Walker. He was a proud grandfather to Makya, James Wicker III, Trevon, Desean, Serenity, Trinity, Christian, LeAyzjah, and Leandre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith Lisk and Lee Walker; his sisters Donna Walker and Dorine Hopkins; his brother Kevin Hopkins; and his loyal dog, Jojo.
Though Andre is no longer with us, his legacy, strength, and spirit live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
