Anthony J. Taylor is 50 years old and was born to Sheila K. Goosby and Terrylon Gilbert on February 14, 1974. He resided in Houston, Texas. He departed this life on July 31,2024. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age. Anthony attended Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas. He was an active member of Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas where he served under Pastor Max A. Miller, Jr.

Throughout his life, Anthony was an inspiration to family and his friends. Above any and everything, he put God first. Anthony put his family and friends in very high regard. He was a lively, loving, kind individual with a heart of gold. He had a beautiful soul. He gave freely to everyone around him, and he enjoyed spending quality time with family and close friends. He touched so many people in this life and will be extremely missed.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father - Terrolyn Gilbert, grandfather -W.T. Gilbert, grandmother - Minnie Gilbert and a very special uncle - Herman Green.

He leaves behind his loving mother – Shelia Goosby; a dear daughter - Makayla Marie Taylor; a godson - Braylen Atkins; goddaughter - Amirah Putney (Bubbles); his brothers - Cedric Gilbert, Terrance Gilbert, Lonnie Goosby Jr. (Shanta), Cleveland Goosby, JaCorey Goosby, and Ellery Byrd; a special friend - Oscar Roberts; his sisters - Shawn Rafford Harris (Harris), Brenda Goosby, Crissy Taylor, Virginia Taylor and Rachael Goosby (Quincey Frazier); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
