Obituary

Arthur Mae Campbell-Brown was born March 8, 1933, in the small town of Freeport, in Brazoria County, Texas, to the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Campbell Sr. She grew up in the First St. Emanuel Baptist Church.  She was baptized, sang in the choir, and did whatever she could to be of service. That's the only thing she knew, going to church and doing whatever was right.

She graduated from Lanier High School in 1951 and went to Prairie View College. When she returned, she worked a while before she met and married Mr. Patric G. Brown. She traveled with him while he was in the Army. To this union three children were born; Patricia Ann Brown & twins, Terry L. Brown, & Mrs. Gerald G. Brown-Pendleton. We moved to Houston in 1957. She went to work at Weingarten and then the V.A. Hospital.

After retirement she joined Fourth Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, where Rev. E. Stanley Branch was the Pastor. Later she united with Brentwood Baptist Church where Rev. Joe S. Ratliff is the Pastor. She served in the Food Pantry & Senior Adult Ministries & remained a faithful member until her passing.

Sister Arthur Mae Campbell-Brown leaves to her cherished memories her three Children; Patricia Ann Brown, Terry Brown, (Beverly) and Gerald G. Brown Pendleton (Robert). Three Grandchildren: Romeius, LaKeisha, and Michael. Five Great Grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordan, Chelsea, Candice, Kayla. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Church Members.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Horathel Jones, Clarabell Dotson (Thomas), Georgia L. Jackson (J.B.), Roscoe & Woodrow Campbell, Robert L. Campbell, Raymond Campbell, Harold Lloyd Campbell (Johnnie) & Major Campbell.
