On November 6, 1945, Wilbur B. Cole, Sr. and Bernice Hall Cole welcomed their beloved daughter, Bobbie Nell Cole, into the world in Houston, Texas. Bobbie was the fourth of seven children and the oldest living matriarch of the family.
Bobbie came from a strong lineage of preachers and pastors who dedicated their lives to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. She often honored and spoke of her grandfather, Reverend Jasper A. Cole, and her uncle, Reverend Solomon LoveJoy Cole.
At a young age, Bobbie was baptized by Reverend A. A. McCardell of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member for many years. She later joined The New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Charles Turner, Pastor.
Bobbie was a proud graduate of Kashmere Senior High School, Class of 1964. She worked professionally in the medical field with Dr. Michael E. DeBakey and LabCorp of America.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and five siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Stanley Cole; daughter, Kimberley Harris; nephew-son, Quincy Cole (Dorothy); son-in-love, Kenneth Williams; brother, Melvin Cole (Brenda); sister-in-love, Janice McFadden; sister-cousin, Katherine Williams; grandson, Brandon Cole; granddaughters, Paris Cole, Syniah Smith, Aneya Cole, Isabella Cole, and Gabriella Cole; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends throughout Texas, Louisiana, California, and Tennessee.
Bobbie’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
