Bobbie Jean (Henderson) Harris

Bobbie Jean Henderson Harris was born May 29, 1937, to Mr. Jackson Henderson and Mrs. Gracie Henderson, in Arkana, Arkansas.

During her early years of life, her family moved to Bradley, Arkansas where she lived for several years. She attended Bumpham High School in Bradley, Arkansas. She loved playing basketball and was an outstanding player. She was known for her cornbread dressing and cabbage. While in Bradley, Bobbie met the love of her life, David Harris. Later they moved to Houston, TX. She was known to the family as “MaDea”. Bobbie transitioned from this life on March 23, 2026. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her mother, and father, four brothers, three sisters, two grandsons, three nephews, and one niece.

She leaves to mourn, one daughter, Lessie Denise Florence Vernon, one granddaughter Brittany Vernon, great granddaughter, Destini Florence, great granddaughter, Kayla Newhouse; one great grandson, David Florence, great great grandson Aiden Vernon; one sister-in-law, Dorothy T. Henderson (Shrevesport, LA) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
