To everything, there is a season...
Bobby Gerrard Carter was born on February 27, 1980, to Pamela (Carter) Shaw and the late Robert H. Carter. From the age of 4, he was lovingly reared by his stepfather, Floyd Shaw Jr. Bobby lived a full life until God called him home on December 4, 2024.
Except a man be born again...
Bobby gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout his life, Bobby's faith deepened under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Danny Davis. He actively participated in various ministries including, the Joyful Noise Choir, Junior Usher Board, and the Drill Team, where he found joy and purpose in serving God.
For I know the plans I have for you...
Bobby's education was shaped at Turner Elementary (Houston ISD), Missouri City Middle School, and Elkins High School (Fort Bend ISD). He also studied at the University of Texas San Antonio for a short time. Over the years, Bobby worked in a variety of fields, including automotive, finance, healthcare, entertainment, and product distribution, always striving to learn and grow.
Children are a heritage from the Lord...
Bobby's greatest pride and joy came from his daughter, Brielle J. Carter, born in 2003, during the marriage to LaMisha (Carter) Helaire. Together they shared the special gift of parenthood. Brielle was the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with her.
Peace, I leave with you...
Bobby's cherish memories will forever be held by his daughter, Brielle, Mother and Stepfather, sisters, Felicia (Lisa) Richardson, Shardae Shaw, Amber Shaw, and his only brother, Robert Bartley. Bobby was blessed with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Special to him were his Hunters Glen IV homeboys. He shared his most treasured moments with his devoted girlfriend, Latasha Bowen.
Resting in God's eternal love…
He is preceded in death by his loving father, Robert Carter, and his beloved grandparents, John and Margaret Alexander, and Floyd and Mary Shaw.
A beautiful soul...
Bobby had a spirit that was youthful and vibrant, with a personality that shine brightly to all who knew him. His infectious laughter, generous heart, and beautiful energy touched everyone he met—whether family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers. Bobby had a passion for life, with a love for sports (especially his beloved 49ers), cars, and the people closest to him. His warmth and enthusiasm for life left an impressionable mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
