Bobby Ray Johnson was born March 26, 1963, in Jonesboro, LA to Mary Lee Johnson.Johnny Delane Jackson Sr. Bobby is proceeded in death by his grandparents LD Johnson Sr. and Claudie Johnson, Uncle LD Johnson Jr., Uncle Charles Wayne Johnson and Aunt Glory Jean Johnson.
Bobby attended school in Saline LA and graduated from ICS High School. He also attended Houston Community College. Later he Biblical Christian Theology where he received his master's in theology.
Bobby attended church as a child and knew and loved the Lord Bobby was also baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church. He was a faithful servant at New Destiny Praise and Worship for 3 years. During his time there he back and ordained deacon in the church. Bobby helped out in the church as much as he could until her could not
Bobby was the owner of Bobtail Express. He was an entrepreneur at heart. His motivation came years ago while working as an owner operator for a local freight forwarding company which became a local organization. He was a part of the business expansion process for the opening of each new regional location, in turn inspiring him to start his own business. Throughout the 40 years in business, he grew to own a fleet of trucks based out of Northwest Houston.
Bobby was known for his integrity and willingness to mentor others. He will forever be remembered for the impact he made, the lives he touched, and the countless people who depended on his wisdom and advice.
Bobby leaves to rejoice in his memory, wife Tonya Kerr-Johnson, Mother, Mary Lee Johnson, Father Johnny Jackson Sr., Siblings, Jerry Jackson, Belinda Lard, Larry Lard Jr. (Bubba), Erma Jackson Clemons (Ray), Jamie Lard, Sharon Lard Jackman (Steven), Johnny Jackson Jr. (Roschunda), Jeanie Lard Williams (Jeremiah), and Dexter Lard. Six children: Trenisha Houston, Marcus Houston (Vanessa), Chryshawd Ware, Christopher Soto Johnson (Jessica), Taneka Lard, and Crystal Soto Johnson, 20 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
As we say goodbye to Bobby, we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace, free from pain and surrounded by the light of God's presence. His legacy of faith, hope, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. We find comfort in knowing that we will see him again in the presence of the Lord.
