Brock Nielsen Bennett was born on January 14, 1970, in Houston, Texas to parents Floyd Bennett and Gloria Delores Grace Bennett. Within a year of his birth, Brock was diagnosed with autism and his parents began their life-long quest to provide him with the best medical care and educational opportunities available. While his disability prevented him from experiencing many of the typical life milestones, his heart was above reproach.

Brock's memory was unparalleled, as he easily recalled names and considered anyone he met to be a friend. He attended public school in the Houston Independent School District, graduating from high school in May 1988.

Brock was preceded in death by his father (Floyd); his mother (Delores); His aunts and Uncles (Bernice Grace Williams, Learline Grace Harrison, Mitchroitt Grace, Eddie Grace, Laverne Jordan). He leaves to cherish his legacy, his Uncle Doy Lee Grace, a vast family of cousins, as well as friends and dedicated caregivers.
