On May 10, 1957, Jerry Buchanan Jr. and Myrtle Ruth Buchanan was blessed with a vibrant baby girl, Carol Elaine Buchanan, who blossomed into a remarkable individual. Carol excelled at Furr high school, graduating in 1975. She empowered herself by attending Houston Community College. Furthermore, she nurtured herself by joining Gethsemane Baptist Church. Carol was gainfully employed with the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years.
Carol thrived on sharing laughter and adventures with her loved ones, leveraging her quick wit and infectious charm to create unforgettable moments. Carol lived a life of integrity, compassion, and joy. She touched the lives of many with love and wisdom. Though, Carol may no longer be with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain.
She is preceded in death by both parents Jerry Jr. and Myrtle R. Buchanan, paternal grand parents Jerry and Isadore Buchanan, maternal grand parents Seymour and Bertha McGregor, a brother Herman Buchanan and a sister Jacqueline M. Buchanan.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters: Alma Waldrup of Fort Worth, Texas, Ida N. Keller (Ernest) of Dallas, Texas and Patricia A. Broussard (Nolan), and one brother Jerry (Gerald) Buchanan III both of Houston, Texas. One aunt Bertha Williams (Clarence) and two uncles Henry McGregor and Llyod McGregor (Eleanor) all of Missouri City, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
