Catherine Ruth (Brown) White

Catherine Ruth White passed into eternal life on September 30, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Lott, Texas, she was the only child of the late Connie Mozzee. She was raised in Houston’s Riceville community and graduated from Jack Yates High School.

In 1956, Catherine married her high school sweetheart, Arthur White. They shared 52 years of marriage until his passing in 2008. A trained beautician, Catherine was also a faithful Christian who was baptized at an early age and remained a longtime member of First John Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her five children: Jeffery (Mamie), Melba Williams (Otis), Eric (Janet), Arlene White-Brisco, and Debra; her grandchildren, Natacha Williams, Fulton Brisco II (Brandy), Amanda Brisco, Erica White, Brian White, Erin White, Brandon White, Brennen White, and Annalise Brisco; and her great-grandchildren, Trevion Williams and Alexzandra Brisco. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

The family of Catherine White extends its deepest gratitude for the many expressions of kindness and support shown during this time of bereavement.
