It is with Profound Joy that we announce the peaceful transition of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and wife Christine Dixon Henderson, who left us to be with our Lord on May 3, 2026.

Christine Dixon Henderson, born August 4, 1959 to the parentage of the late Thurmond Dixon and Betty Shaw Dixon, in Rusk County Texas. She is proceeded in death by her father, Thrumond Dixon, as well as her in laws Sterling and Lillie Mae Whitfield Hale. She accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age and united with The St. Paul Baptist Church , under the direction of Reverend Roger Smith. She faithfully served in the Mass Choir, as well as the Missionary Society for many years until her health failed her.

Christine attended Tatum Independent School district and was a class of 1978 graduate and proud Tatum Eagle Alumni.

In 1978, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Alvester Coleman. Together she and Alvester built a devoted and enduring union. To this loving union, Christine and Alvester parented two beautiful children, Cassandra Coleman, and King Brian Coleman were born. They truly were her pride and joys in which she cherished dearly.

Christine leaves to Cherish her husband Alvester Coleman, loving Mother Betty Joe Dixon (Longview, Tx). Two children Cassandra Coleman (Keven King) of Dallas, Tx, Brian Coleman (Houston, Tx), Jennate Dixon Hall (Dallas, Tx). Six sisters Queen Dixon ( Longview, Tx), Alice Dixon ( Denver, Co), Jacqueline Harvey (Desoto, Tx), Rosalind Hale (Dallas, Tx), Sonya Hale (Houston, Tx), and Marissa Pinkard (Dallas, Tx). One brother, Gary Lynn Dixon (Tatum, Tx), and is proceeded in death by her older brother JoNathen Dixon. Two Grandchildren Jaliyah Wright, Mark Wren Jr. both of Dallas, Tx. Special Cousins Dianna Arthur, Velma Williams, Sharon P Johnson, Irene Arthur, Felecia Miller, and Alice Johnson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Despite her health declining, Christine's love for her family and most importantly Jesus Christ never wavered. Her joyful spirit endures forever as well as her legacy of faith, strength, love, and service will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
