Cloretta Blackburn was born to the late Keffrey Pitre Sr. and Catherine Wilson. Cloretta was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, LA, at the age of 13 by Rev. Edward Harris.

Cloretta attended Paul Lawrence Dunbar Elementary School, Courteableau Jr. High School and graduated in 1975 from Washington Senior High School.

Cloretta married her best friend Odell Blackburn in 1973. Into this union two sons were born, Andre Blackburn and Christophe Sean Blackburn.
Cloretta worked for her father-in-law in the BBQ business for numerous years. Afterwards, she worked for H.I.S.D for 13 years before a car accident back in 2006.

God called Cloretta home to be with Lord on Wednesday,  April 9, 2025, at 5:45 am.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gayla Wilson. She leaves to cherish two sons; Andre and Christophe Blackburn, grandchildren, brother; Keffrey Pitre Jr., sisters; Sonia Templeton, Regina Wilson, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
