Feb 12, 1983 — Jul 20, 2025
Clyde Eddie Jones (born February 12, 1983) was the eldest of Fatimar and Adrian's four sons. Clyde accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Missionary Baptist Church.
Clyde graduated from Sharpstown High School (Class of 2001), finished barber college in 2005 and worked in several barber shops in the Houston area. He earned an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies (2018), reflecting his deep love for God's Word.
Clyde grew into a master barber known for his precise fades, encouraging words, and chair-side faith conversations. He believed every haircut was a ministry. Although very ill, he was able to earn a Cosmetology Teaching Certification in 2024, fulfilling a dream to train and inspire the next generation of barbers.
Clyde's life was marked by resilience. He endured significant medical challenges, including one in which he was pronounced deceased on arrival, yet he defied the odds and continued to inspire those around him. His faith remained steadfast, and he never hesitated to share his testimony, touching countless lives with his words and actions.
Clyde was a member of Sagemont Church, where he participated in the Men's Ministry. Inspired by his favorite Scripture (Proverbs 27:17): "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." (NIV) He had an impactful social media presence, sharing daily online devotionals that encouraged and uplifted many.
Clyde married Stephanie in 2022. Shortly after their union, Clyde was diagnosed with hypopharyngeal cancer, a battle he faced with unwavering faith and courage. Through it all, Stephanie stood by his side, providing him with compassionate and devoted care.
In 2025, Clyde, his wife Stephanie and their two younger children, Ashia and Calvin, joined the Fresh Start Church under the leadership of Pastor Troy Johnson.
Clyde was a beacon of strength, love and perseverance. He uplifted those around him with his faith, wisdom and encouragement.
On July 20, 2025, Clyde Eddie Jones completed his earthly assignment and was welcomed into the everlasting arms of the Lord.
