Damon Charles Jackson was born on June 16, 1987, in Houston, Texas, to David Edwards and Michelle Jackson. He was a proud graduate of Willowridge High School in Fort Bend Independent School District. At a young age, Damon accepted Christ at Riverside Church of Christ, beginning a lifelong spiritual journey.
Damon loved his city of Houston and left a lasting impact through his kind and welcoming spirit. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend who embodied what it meant to be a servant leader. Free-spirited and full of life, Damon lived unapologetically and cared deeply for those around him. He made it a point to check on others and stay connected, always showing love in his own way.
Known for his style and presence, Damon took pride in his appearance and carried himself with confidence. He had a natural ability to bring joy into any space—funny without trying, vibrant, and unforgettable. Whether dancing to music or simply spending time with loved ones, Damon made every moment meaningful.
He had a deep love for animals and embraced the role of stepfather with dedication and care. Following his passion, Damon became a licensed barber through Frazier Barber College in 2008 and built a strong reputation in “MoCity.” To Damon, barbering was more than a profession—it was a way to uplift others. He used his talent to instill confidence in his clients and foster genuine connections. His attention to detail and warm personality created a sense of community for all who sat in his chair.
Damon also had a heart for service and held positions with Amazon, UPS, and the United States Postal Service, where he demonstrated commitment and a strong work ethic.
Damon transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest on March 25, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, David Edwards; maternal grandparents, U.L. and Frankie Deary; paternal grandmother, Bertha Edwards; paternal uncle, Kenneth Smith; his beloved Virginia Rogers; Great Aunt Hattie Johnson; and his brother, David Terrell.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Michelle Jackson; Uncle Urban Deary; Aunt Cassandra Moss; and his siblings Tameshia Jackson, Taneshia Jackson, Deja Jackson, Nicole Kirkland (Grady), ShaToya Terrell-Swaby (Iry), LeeAndrea Sanders (Decibian), and Damarcus Edwards.
He is also survived by his niece, Jania Jackson; great-nephew, Kacey Gaulden; great-niece, Icelynn Murray; and a host of relatives and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
There will never be another Damon. His laughter, energy, and spirit were truly one of a kind. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for every moment and memory we shared with him.
We will miss him deeply, love him always, and carry his memories with us in all that we do.
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8
While we mourn his loss, we find peace in knowing he now rests in the presence of the Lord. His journey here has ended, but his spirit lives in eternal peace. Though we will miss his smile, laughter, and joy, we take comfort in knowing this is not goodbye—it is simply until we meet again.
