Darryl Allen graced the world with his presence on July 12, 1961. He was born to proud parents, Marguerite Allen Grover and Cornelius Grover of proud and loving parents, in Houston, Texas.

Darryl attended Houston public schools and worked as a licensed crane operator at Lone Star Heat Treat. For thirty-eight years, Darryl loved his job and co-workers, he was looking forward to his retirement this year.

Darryl met and married the love of his life, Velinda Anderson and to this union one son was born, Darryl Allen Jr. Darryl was humble and loved spending quality his family. He was always willing to help others.

On January 6, 2025, Darryl Allen departed this life. He is preceded in death by his father: Cornelius Grover; one brother, Murphy D. Allen; and grandparents, Murphy and Carrie Allen.

Darryl leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Velinda Allen, one son, Darryl Allen Jr.;  loving mother, Margurite Grover; sister, Cornelia Allen; brother Carlos Grover (Aungelle); one grandson, Darryl Allen, III; one great-grandson, Amir Johns; a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Darryl was many things to many people and will be greatly missed.
