On March 18, 1941 God created a strong and loving soul through the blessed union of the late David and Kristal Perkins in Manor Tx. He attend Manor Public School. David Perkins grew to become a God-fearing man. However on May 6, 2024 God decided to call David from labor to rest.

His Faith.. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Gildon Creek 3rd Baptist Church for years under the Leadership of Rev. J. H Penn until he moved to Houston, Tx in 1997. In 2000 he then joined the St. Anthony Baptist Church where he worked as a deacon and was part of the brotherhood. In 2008, he joined the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church where he was a faithful member until his health failed.

His Love… He was united in Holy Matrimony to Rita Perkins on April 17, 1999, and they journeyed together for over 20 years. They enjoyed spending time together and traveling to Austin Tx to visit family. He was committed husband and a man who held the family together. He worked for the City of Austin for over 20 years.

Proceed in death His parents David and Kristal Perkins, and two brothers, J.D. Piper, Rev. Charles Odell Perkins and Daniel Nunn and one sister Bertha Brown preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs.Rita Perkins; three children, Chatrice(Shy)Lange, David Perkins, Gwen Perkins Johnson; grandchildren, Jayden Taylor; four sisters, Mrs. Connie Mae Davis, Mrs. Lenora Easley of Manor, TX, Mrs. Elnora Hill of Pflugerville, TX, and Ms. Louis Jean Nunn of Austin, TX;as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
