Desmond Gibran Gaines was born on December 4, 2000 in Houston, Texas to LaCrisha Harvey and Cleo Garrett.

Desmond was a young boy when he accepted Christ. He always had a love for sports and going fishing with his Papa. Desmond graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School and went on to work in the construction field. He also found a love for community and health while working with his uncle, Tramone Terry at Soul Food Vegan. Desmond loved so many and was loved by many more.

Desmond was called home on November 9, 2019 and is preceded in death by his grandmother, Angi Gaines.

He is survived by his mother, LaCrisha Harvey; stepdad, Will Harvey; father, Cleo Garrett; sisters, Desirai and Destanei; grnadparents, Jerome Joseph (Belinda), Paulette and Cleothus (Rene); special aunt, Vaui and a host of other aunts, cousins and friends.
