Obituary

Donald entered this world early with a premature birth on March 28, 1978, to proud parents, Rev.
Charles F. and Lillie Parsons. Although Donald remained in the hospital for a few months his
siblings, Tracy and Frederic, anticipated his arrival home. Donald was Frederic's baby brother but
he was Tracy's baby. When Phebe was born Donald became her favorite sibling. He would rush
home from school to see his "Boo-boo" as he affectionately called her. Phebe and Donald were
very close and protective of one another. Donald would make sure Phebe had her purse and gloves
for church and Phebe always made sure she had gifts or snacks for "my brutha".

Donald was an outstanding athlete. He was one of the fastest sprinters in the state of Wisconsin for
his age group in middle school. He was a member of the Racine Highflyers, a flipping team with the
Racine Southside Community Center. Donald graduated from J.I. Case High School where he was a member of the basketball team and a track star. Donald received a track scholarship to the
University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. He also attended Grambling State University in Louisiana.
Donald grew up in Shiloh Church of God in Christ where his faith and love for God was nurtured. He
was encouraged to utilize his talents in the arts. He was a gifted musician. He played the trumpet
and the drums and taught himself to play the bass guitar and violin. He song with the gospel group
J4 along with Micheal "Big Mike" Chones and Anthony and David Stewart singing the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the Wisconsin tri-state area.

Donald was the sweetest, nicest and all-around good guy. He had 3 beautiful children whom he
loved dearly: Chloe, Donald Jr. and Chase. Donald went above and beyond for his children. He was
looking forward to them becoming successful, loving, and God-fearing adults.

His family did everything to pray and love him back to health. Donald said "I got to get myself
together" because he knew that he had somewhere to go and he walked on to be with the Lord on
October 15, 2024, in Pearland, Texas.

Donald is survived by his children: Chloe, Donald Jr and Chase (Milwaukee WI); his parents: Rev.
Charles F. Sr. and Lillie Parsons; his siblings: Tracy Parsons, Charles II (Tomeka) Parsons (Detroit,
MI) and Phebe Parsons; nieces: Zakkiyya (Aaron) Parsons, Zakkarah (Reggie) Sharpe, Charity
Parsons, nephews Charles Parsons III and Charles Ka'von Parsons all of Detroit, MI; his girlfriend
Lakicia Jenious and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends.
