Dorothy Ann Gordon was born on February 4, 1944, in Kentwood, Louisiana. She was the firstborn of twelve children to the union of Adam Gordon and Susie Marie Hookfin Gordon.  She entered into eternal rest on May 29, 2025.

Dorothy was a woman of deep faith. She accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Orange Grove Church of God in Christ.  Dorothy attended O.W. Dillon School in Kentwood, where she played clarinet in the band and discovered her love for Home Economics.

In 1974, Dorothy married Walter Daniel. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed their daughter, Crystal — the light of Dorothy's life.

Dorothy will be remembered as a woman of quiet strength, boundless creativity, deep faith, and unwavering love. She led by example, uplifted those around her, and left a legacy stitched together with grace, wisdom, and devotion. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the beauty she left behind.
