Ebonye Monique
Kennedy
Jan 18, 1981 — Nov 23, 2023
On January 18th, 1981, Ebonye Monique Kennedy entered this world as a beacon of joy, born to Maverick Lynn Kennedy and the late Felicia Ann Cooper Kennedy in Houston, Texas. She embarked on her educational journey through public schools in Harris and Fort Bend County, ultimately earning her diploma from Willowridge High School in Missouri City, Texas.
Ebonye's spiritual foundation was laid at New Day Deliverance Holiness Church, where she embraced her faith and was baptized at an early age. Following her graduation, she crossed paths with and married the late Cody McQueen. Their union brought forth the light of her life, her beloved son, Xavion L. McQueen. Ebonye, a cherished mother, sister, aunt, niece, and granddaughter, filled the lives of those around her with love and warmth.
Her presence was a testament to the strength of family bonds, and she leaves behind a legacy of affection and fond memories. Ebonye is survived by her devoted son, Xavion L. McQueen, her father, Maverick L. Kennedy, her brother, Alfred Cooper, her sister, DeAngela Kennedy, as well as her grandmothers, Jessie Ruth Kennedy and Jean Ann Cooper, a loving significant other Kermet Johnson. In addition, she is remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a vast circle of friends.
While Ebonye has departed from our physical world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration for all who mourn her loss.
