Edith Cheryol Slaughter was born September 25, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to Robert Lee Slaughter, Sr. and Elsie Dean Brown Slaughter.  She departed from us on January 06, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Slaughter, Sr., Elsie Dean Brown Slaughter and Leroy Gordan, and brother, Paul Lawrence Gordan, and sister, Vannessa Denise Slaughter.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Brother, Robert Lee Slaughter, Jr.; Sister, Rosalind Frug'e; Three Nephews, Vannie Emerson Slaughter (Sandra), Joseph James Slaughter, Jamil Slaughter; Niece, Ashley Gordon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
