Obituary

Edward Earl Hall Sr. was born on February 17, 1955, at Angelina County Hospital in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Lizzie Mae Hall and Timothy Hall Sr. He was one of five children—four boys and one girl. His parents preceded him in death, but their love and values lived on through him.

From a young age, Edward was known for his honesty, soft-spoken nature, and strong work ethic. He was polite, well-mannered, and carried himself with quiet confidence. Those who knew him as a child remember his beautiful hair and his sweet, gentle smile that earned him the nickname "Peaches." It was a name that perfectly captured his tender spirit and the warmth he brought to those around him. Edward was trustworthy, loved people deeply, and in turn, was deeply loved by many.

At just seven years old, Edward gave his life to Christ and was baptized by Pastor Everson Boyd Esters Sr. His faith became the foundation of his life. A devoted Christian, he sang in the church choir throughout his youth and into adulthood. In his later years he worshipped at many churches, until becoming a member of Lily Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He continued to serve and worship faithfully in his religion until his final days.

Edward was employed with Texas Steel Conversion for 26 years. His quiet determination, reliability, and humility made him a respected and valued employee until his well-earned retirement.

In his younger years, Edward was known as kindhearted and reserved, someone who preferred peace over attention. As he grew older, he chose to live life fully and without regrets—traveling, exploring new experiences, and finding joy in life's simple pleasures.

He married the love of his life, Gloria Jean Hall, whose lively, outgoing spirit beautifully complemented his calm and steady demeanor. Their marriage was a union built on balance, love, and faith. Together they created a home filled with laughter, respect, and unwavering devotion. Peaches then became known as "chocolate cupcake", by his wife.

Edward was also known for his impeccable style—always sharp, polished, and put together. Beyond his appearance, he was warm, frank, and easygoing—a man who stood firm in his beliefs and lived his faith every day.

On October 12, 2025, Edward departed this life surrounded by the love of his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest son, Edward Earl Hall Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Gloria Jean Hall; two loving sons Marques Undra Hall & Tristian Earl Hall, siblings Timothy Hall Jr (Tamara Hall), Michael Gene Hall, Vernon Lee Hall, Margaret Hall Tatum (Marc Tatum); grandchildren Trey, Adrienna, Masson, Tylan, Tayla, TJ, Journi, Jamori, Chanceler, Demarie', Deuce, Willow, Wynter; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Edward's life was a testament to quiet strength, genuine love, and unwavering faith. Though he has left this earth, his legacy of kindness, integrity, and grace will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
