Ester Mae (Lowens) Cole

Ester Mae Cole was born on December 13, 1950, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Sam and Mary Loring. She peacefully departed this life on May 26, 2026, at the age of 75 in her home in Houston, Texas.

At an early age, Ester accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and lived a life rooted in faith and service. She was a devoted member of Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church for more than 45 years, faithfully serving as an usher and dedicating herself to the work of the church.

Ester was a loving mother, grandmother, family matriarch, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Claudette (William), her son, Clifford (Phyllis), and a host of family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Walter Cole, and her loving daughter, Lawanda (Robert).

Ester was employed by Xerox Corporation for more than 25 years before retiring. Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others. She carried out her own personal ministry by giving her time, love, and support to those in need.

Ester was a beautiful person, both inside and out. Affectionately known as the Matriarch of the family, she touched countless lives with her warmth, wisdom, and generosity. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
