Obituary

Falonia Hill Amos was born to Norma D. Bowles and Alvin Hill on January 12, 1950 in Franklin, Louisiana. Falonia, affectionately known as Flo grew up in the church and was baptized at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Franklin, Louisiana in 1959.

Falonia attended Willow Street Elementary, Attucks Middle School, and graduated from Jack Yates High School in 1968.

Falonia gave birth to a loving son, Lawrence Guillory in San Antonio, Texas in 1970. As God would see fit, two years later she gave birth to a loving daughter, Angela in Franklin, Louisiana. Falonia always had a way with numbers and began a career in banking that lasted for over 45 years. For those that knew her, knew that she was a prolific card player and hardly ever lost. Playing cards with her friends on the weekends it what she enjoyed doing. During one of those card games, she met Samuel E. Amos, Sr and they married on August 18, 1996. Falonia loved fashion, was always jazzy, charming and graceful. She loved spending time with family

Preceding her in death was her father, Alvin Hill, bonus father John W. Stewart, sister Sheryl Bolden, brother Reginald (Veronica) Stewart, sister-in-law, Angela Stewart and nephew Mason Grant Stewart.

Falonia leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Samuel E. Amos, Sr, her loving mother, Norma Harrell, son, Lawrence Guillory, daughter, Angela (Lester) Byrd, bonus children, Felicia Webber, Sonya (Calvin) McPherson, Samuel E. (Keisha) Amos, Jr., and Michael Amos, sisters Sherry Bolden, Sandra K. Hill, Anita Hill, and Lynn Hill, brothers Rodney D. Stewart and Raymond T. Stewart, uncle, George E. Layton, grandchildren William D. Benjamin I, Chauvierre C. Cooper and great grandchildren William D. Benjamin II, and Darnell N. Wilkerson and a host of bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Falonia will be missed immensely, but never forgotten by those who loved her unconditionally.
