Obituary

Floyd J. Arceneaux was born on October 16, 1948, in Carencro, Louisiana to Edward Arceneaux Sr. and Lorita Glaude. From an early age, Floyd displayed a remarkable spirit of compassion and resilience. He dedicated his life to serving others, whether through his career in retail or in his involvement with the First Philippine Baptist Church. Known for his warm smile and generous heart, he touched the lives of everyone he encountered. His perseverance was a guiding light to his family and community, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Floyd enjoyed socializing and spending time with his family and friends. He was well known for his great cooking skills, singing, and his love for playing the guitar. Floyd enjoyed participating in all his children's, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren lives. He loved attending cookouts, family gatherings, and trail rides.

Floyd is preceded in death by his father (Edward Arceneaux), mother (Lorita Arceneaux), siblings (Hilda Angelle, Yola Gale, John Arceneaux, Doris Davis, Dorothy A. Gary, Leroy Arceneaux, Percy Arceneaux), granddaughter (Kayla Tyler) and great-granddaughter (Serenity Elliot). Floyd leaves to cherish his memory, his wife (Belma Arceneaux), his siblings (Edward Arceneaux (Shirley) and Rosella Broussard (Eugene)), his children (Patrick Arceneaux (Ann), Priscilla Sanchez (Ashley), Lanita Frederick, and Quincy Gary (Shardae)), his stepchildren (Ann Margaret, Jesserey, Joel, Jessmyn, and Doreine), his grandchildren (Jade Arceneaux, Anita Parker, Corita Bates (Marcell), Myisha Sweed, Darius Pervis, Drakkar Tyler, Ja'Kayla Gary, Londyn Arceneaux, D'Khi Sanchez, Qunicy Gary Jr., Jacob Gary), his great-grandchildren (Ja'Marius, Jerrimiah, Jerrick, Amiyha, Jaelyn, Deddrick, Mariah, Tylin, Taylin, Marcell Jr., Darius Jr., and Jai'kob), and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
