Obituary

Frank Smith Jr. was born October 18, 1943, in Houston,Texas. He was the fourth of twelve children. As the eldest son, he displayed great leadership capabilities. He received Christ and was baptized at an early age. He married Lois Duplechain , and their union produced one child, Dedrick Fabin Smith.
Frank attended Sunnyside Elementary School and graduated from Evan E. Worthing Senior High School. Early in life, he became a member of First South Main Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend R.E. Edwards Jr. Frank was a very well known and outstanding member of his community. He was very passionate about owning his own business, in 1965 he started Smith's Airport Wrecking Yard and became a very admirable and successful entrepreneur. He gave members of his family, his community, and many others their first job. If you were seeking or pursuing employment , Frank would give you the opportunity to display your skills and become a more productive person. As a businessman, he blessed so many lives.
As a young child, Frank loved baseball and played little league baseball. He enjoyed watching the Astros, wearing his cowboy attire and spending time with his son.
Frank Smith Jr. is preceded in death by his father, Frank Smith Sr.; his mother, Bonnie Ruth Smith; his brothers, Jefferson Lee Smith and Willie Joe Smith; his sister, Catherine Louise Woods.
Frank leaves his precious memories to be cherished by his son, Dedrick Fabin Smith; his granddaughter , Raynita; great grandson , Devonte; seven sisters, Cornelia Joseph, Barbara Millings, Lola Jones, Bonnie Nelson, Geraldine Mask, Earline Murray and Carolyn Moore; one brother, Rev. Alexander Smith; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of friends.
