Frederick LeArnold Bennett

On September 20, 1966, Frederick LeArnold Bennett was born to Fred Bennett Jr. and Verna Harrison Bennett in Huntsville, Texas. Frederick accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Agnes Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

He was raised in Sunnyside, Texas, where he attended public schools within the Houston Independent School District and graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School. During his senior year of high school, he began his first job at Kroger, demonstrating the strong work ethic that would define his life. In 1988, he began his career with Entex Natural Gas Company, which later became CenterPoint Energy. Over the next thirty-eight years, Frederick built a remarkable career marked by dedication, dependability, and pride. He was never late to work, a testament to his unwavering commitment and sense of responsibility.

Frederick had a warm spirit and a welcoming heart that made everyone feel like family. There was no one he would not befriend, and his genuine kindness, infectious smile, and easygoing personality left lasting impressions on everyone he met. He found joy in spending time with those he loved and especially enjoyed sharing his passion for movies with his nieces and nephews, with horror movies being among his favorites. Frederick also had a love for travel and embraced every opportunity to explore new places, creating treasured memories through both domestic and international adventures. Whether at home, at work, or on the road, he lived life with a joyful heart, bringing laughter, friendship, and love wherever he went.

On Thursday, July 23, 2026, Frederick traded his earthly life for his Heavenly reward. Although his earthly journey has ended, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bennett Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Verna Bennett; his sons, Derrick Lewis and Delvonte Williams (Shanecia); his sisters, Marilyn Bennett and Celina Ware; his brother, Malcolm Bennett; his beloved grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his special friend Sheila, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his life and legacy.
