Gary Louis Walker Sr. was born December 1, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Theophus Walker Sr. and Macie Lee Walker. His father, mother, brother Horace Walker, and nephew Theoran Walker proceeded him in death. Gary graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School in 1977. Upon graduation, he entered the workforce at Hughes Tool Company. Additional employment was with Grocery Supply and Metro. Prior to retirement, he worked at Cemex for 20 years and then became a referee where he officiated little league, high school, and collegiate football games.

He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor J.C. Johnson at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Later, he united at the Church Without Walls under the leadership of Pastor Ralph West.

Gary entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2025 at 10:05 p.m. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Gary Louis Walker Jr. (Ruth), his granddaughter's Sophia and Emani, his two step daughters Tarsha Ballard (Harvey), Tiffany White (Darin) and their mother Sharon Walker, one sister Pamela Walker Polk, one brother Theophus Walker Jr., nephews Joseph Polk and Weldon Walker, and a host of relatives and friends.
