Obituary

Genieva McCoy Williams was born April 11, 1990, to the loving parents George Nelson and Annie Mae Petty. Genieva Was a beacon of Love and you to all who knew her.

Genieva was a devoted mother to her beloved son Bracey Lee McCoy, and a cherished wife to John Williams, whom she married on February 2, 1998. She was a vibrant spirit, one of thirteen siblings, and her bond with her family was unbreakable. The warmth of her heart and the strength of her character forever resonate with those who had the strength of being part of her life.

Genieva got her start of faith at Greater New Macedonia Baptist Church at a young age she received salvation and was baptized under the guidance of Rev. Stredic.

Genieva found joy in simple pleasures, particular in her love for fishing and her passion for playing spades. Whether she was casting her line into the serene waters of sharing laughs around a card table with family and friends, Genieva's laughter could light up any room. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by: Annie Pette (mother), George Nelson (father), Connie McCoy (grandmother), Adam McCoy (grandfather); 5 sisters, Cora Cannon, Elevanda McCoy, Jennifer McCoy, Lela Walker, Letha Walker; 2 brothers, James Green and Steven McCoy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, John B. Williams (husband), Bracey McCoy (son), Dondre Davis (stepson), Corrin Irving (godson), 2 sisters, Annie Lee & Frankie Mae McCoy; 3 brothers, Eddie H. McCoy, Rodney W. McCoy, and Willie B. McCoy, Ricky Prirnce (best friend) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Genieva was a mother, wife, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. To some, she meant the world, to some she can't be forgotten, but to all, she will be missed.
