Gloria D. Jones(Dean) was born December 2, 1951 in Alexandria, Louisiana to the late Arthur and Nancy Armstrong McNeal.

Gloria attended Peabody High School in Alexandria, Louisiana   To further her Education She moved to Maryland and attended University of Baltimore. She then moved to Paterson, New Jersey.  Later moving to Houston, Texas where she was employed at Baker Hughes. Then she was employed by Universal Protection Services in Security.

She was married to Joseph Clayton Jones Sr. and Parented 3 Children

At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a member of Mother Mercy Catholic Church. Later became a member of Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church, under the Leadership of Pastor Bennit E. Hayes.

She loved being with family and was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and Aunt.   She was known to be a generous giver and always willing to help.

She was preceded in death by her Brother Roosevelt (Pop) McNeal, Parents, Arthur and Nancy McNeal, Siblings Dorothy Newell, Irene Barnett, Lillie Brown Gibson. Her Son in-Law Jack Scrutchin and Her husband, Joseph Clayton Jones

Left in God's care and to cherish her precious memories: Daughter, Nancy Scrutchin, Sons Joseph Jones(Dorothy), Bruce Jones  all of Houston TX. 5 Grand Children, Kenneth Strauter, Meryikia, Jones, Destiny Samone Jones, Jacob Scrutchin, Xavier Jones. Brother Arthur McNeal Jr (Cherie) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Sisters, Ernestine McNeal, Minnie Askew both of Paterson, New Jersey. Minister Shirley Thompson (Robert), Burnell McNeal all of Houston, Texas, Connie M. Lee of Newport News, Virginia. Sister in Law Dora McNeal of Alexandria, Louisiana.  A God Daughter Princess Jefferson Knight and A Special  Niece  Porsche Rolling.

She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of Nieces Nephews, Cousins relatives and Special friends.
