Ms. Gloria J Locks was born on October 27, 1950 to Mrs. Florence and Mr. Clarence Locks.  Ms. Locks attended Gregory Elementary School, R. G. Lockett Jr. High and Jack Yates Sr. High School.  Gloria joined the Baptist church at an early age.  Gloria was the third child of five.  She was employed with the Rowan Company, the U. S Postal Service, and the City of Houston, where she retired from in 2012.  She loved and cared for every person she met, providing words of kindness and encouragement with a smile like no other.  Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and two older siblings.  She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Tameral; one granddaughter, Kela; three great grandchildren, Kelan, Kelbi, and Kylar; one sister, Mrs. Beverly Stephens (Kerry) and one brother, Lonnie Locks (Peggy); one adopted grandson, Jerel, and Mr. Batiste, a special friend.  She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
