I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Obituary

Grady Lee Cosby was born on December 06, 1949 in Houston, Texas to the late Grover Lee and Lora D Cosby.  He was the second and only son to their four children.  He attended H.I.S.D. public schools and graduated from E.E. Worthing Sr. High in 1969.  He went on to work for Baker Hughes Tool until he was drafted into the Army, January 1970.  He served in the Vietnam War and fulfilled his duty as a Sergeant until he was Honorably discharged.  On November 11, 1972, he married Eunice Bonner and to this union, two children were born, Lyvonia (Von) and Casandra (Casie).  He returned home and went on to continue working for Baker Hughes Tool for 25 years.  After his departure from Baker Hughes, he then worked for Piping Technology until his retirement in 2017.

Grady accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jordan Grove M.B.C. under the late Rev. W.H. Banks.

Some knew him as Ju-Ju and others knew him as a loyal, stand-up kind of guy that would do anything for you.  He loved spending time with family, fishing, cooking, listening to music, working on his prized possessions (his hot rides), and traveling to Minden, La where his roots are.

Some people leave such an impression on our hearts and we are never the same.  In this way, we are blessed even as we mourn.  On Sunday, January 05, 2025, Grady transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home.  He received his heavenly wings and entered eternal rest.  He leaves to cherish his memories: 2 daughters, Lyvonia Toefield (Michael), and Casandra Cosby(Sterling); 5-grandsons, Terrance Jackson, Jr, Michael Toefield, Jr, Miguel Toefield, Trevyon Cosby, and Edward Richardson; 3-great-grand children, Micah, Maisie, and Mila Toefield; 3-sisters, Delorse Rivers(Sam), Debra Cosby, Cynthia Elaine Norton(Kenneth); 1-aunt, Ollie Mae Fullbright of Odessa, Tx and a close cousin/brother, Dennis Black(Marilyn), and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lora D and Grover Lee Cosby.
