Herman Daniel,
Jr.
Apr 25, 1947 — Jun 26, 2024
Herman Daniel Jr. made his debut on April 25, 1947, in Houston, Mississippi, to his beautiful mother Luella Bowens. Upon his mother's sudden death, Herman and his sister were raised by their aunt and uncle, Viola, and W.C. Buchanan. After completing his education at Houston High School, he was drafted into the military. Herman served in the Army from October 1966 and Honorable discharged in 1968. He moved around a lot but made his home in Houston, TX. There he gained employment with Johnson & Johnson and Glazier Liquor Distributor, giving over 20 years of service. He accepted Christ at an early age and demonstrated his faith when he joined Paradise Missionary Baptist Church in 2002. He served on the Deacon board and worked with the youth of the church. While servicing, he met and fell in love with Glendia Sowell who became his wife on February 15, 2003. Deacon Daniel's hobbies included traveling, fishing, and watching CNN.
On June 26, 2024, he received a phone call from the Lord and took his wings.
Deacon Daniel joins his mother Luella Bowens and his sister Hattie Mims in Heaven.
