Herman Kenneth Young

Some people simply entered a room. Kenneth Young changed the atmosphere of one.

A Houston native and proud graduate of Evan E. Worthing High School, Kenneth carried his faith, humor, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit from Houston to California and ultimately to Las Vegas, where he built a remarkable legacy.

A visionary digital creator and influencer, Kenneth founded BlackVegas, creating a platform that connected visitors and residents with Black-owned businesses, entertainment, events, and culture throughout Las Vegas. He was also the creative force behind the popular Neo Soul Happy Hour, bringing people together from across the country for music, fellowship, and an unforgettable Vegas experience.

Beyond the public personality was a deeply private man with a brilliant business mind, an unmistakable baritone voice, a love of sports and horse racing, and a gift for turning almost any moment into laughter.

Kenneth leaves behind a loving family, treasured friends, and a community forever touched by his vision.

He didn't simply find his place in Las Vegas. He created one, then made room for others to join him.
