Jacob C. Hamilton
“C-Boy”
Jacob Ceaser (C-Boy) Hamilton was the second born to the union of Mr. Jacob Hamilton and Mrs. Leanna Collins Hamilton on June 2, 1944. He transitioned peacefully on March 27 after succumbing to a chronic illness. He was born in rural Chestnut, Louisiana, Natchitoches Parrish. He was raised in the St. John community where he accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Baptiste Church by Rev. Sam Ellis. He began his educational journey at St John Elementary/Junior High School and completed it at Natchitoches Central High (presently named Natchitoches Central High School) in Natchitoches. Louisiana
After high school, Jacob went to work with the family business, Pulp Wood Industry, until he answered his called to duty, enlisting and proudly serving in the United States Army. He served in Korea and Fort Hood during the Vietnam Era. After completing his military duties, Jacob moved to Houston in the 70s & retired from the Houston Chronicle.
Jacob married the love of his life, Ms. Sherrie Kay Donaway, to this union they were gifted with one lovely & devoted child, Ms. Sonya Hamilton. Sherrie preceded him in transition in 2023.
Jacob was born & raised in a large family of 9 children. Preceding Jacob in transition are His parents & 8 siblings: Iversia, Robert George, Verdis, Lorashus, Marcia Ann, Molly B, Ella Vera and Infant sister.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Sonya Hamilton (Houston, TX ), grandson, Tyson Hamilton (Houston, Texas) (Monica ), two great grandsons - Noah, Xander and one great grandson on the way. Also cherishing his memory are One aunt, One uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
