Obituary

Jacob Frazier, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas, February 15, 1950, to Mae Helen and Jacob Frazier Sr.  Jacob, also known as "Little Brother" and Chile" was a loving, private, and quiet child. He was a great artist.  He also enjoyed nature and animals.

He graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School in 1967.  He then enrolled in Texas Southern University to earn his bachelor's degree in pharmacy.

Jacob's education at TSU was interrupted by the Vietnam War draft. He left Fort Polk military base and was stationed in Korea during his tour and served honorably in the United States Army.

After returning from the military, he attended Franklin Beauty School where he graduated with honors and received his Cosmetology Degree and his Cosmetology Instructors Degree.

He then opened Jacob Unique Hair Beauty Salon located on Almeda Road.  He also worked as a dog groomer and breeder for show dogs.

He had a great love for horses, which inclined him to start working for Mollie Taylor Stevenson Ranch. While there he became a horse trainer, groomer, and teacher. One day a cowboy came with an albino stallion that the man wanted to get rid of because the horse was untrainable.  Jacob took the horse and named him Geronimo and he was the only person that could ride him.

Jacob then moved to Pattison, Texas working as a tour guide at Blue Barn Fun Farm, where he met his soulmate Ms. Rochell O. Watts. They married on February 5, 1991, in Brookshire Texas.  Jacob loved his family and friends, even in illness, he maintained an upbeat spirit and pushed through.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mae Helen and Jacob Frazier and his sister Norma Frances Frazier.

Jacob leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife Rochelle Frazier, (2) daughters Bridgjette Monique Evans (Brandon) Sugarland, Tx., Nichelle Gibbs Austin, Tx, sister Joyce Frazier Landry (Anthony) Houston Tx, (2) brothers Jesse Owens Frazier (Leticia) Albuquerque, New Mexico, Anthony Maurice Frazier (Wanda) Houston, Tx.

(5) grandchildren Brandon Evans II, Bridgjae Evans, Bryan Evans, Brodrick Evans, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.

Jacob was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday June 3, 2023.
