The things in life that cause us the most pain are the same things that bring us closer together.  Our hearts are broken.  We have been filled with sadness and disbelief at this monumental loss. But today we want to set our grief aside to share with you some of the beautiful things we loved about our dear Jayden. As we sat together sharing our memories, these are the words that were spoken.  Jayden was very protective of those he held close to his heart.  He was quiet and at times of few words, choosing pen and paper to express the emotions and desires of his heart. He loved strong and had an adventurous spirit. He saw all adversities with a "whatever means necessary and don't look back" attitude. He will continue to be a part of everything we do.

Jayden Christopher Derrell Blount was born November 21st, 2004 to Ebony Riley Hall and Boyd Blount at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas.  He attended Peck Elementary, Hartman Middle School, and graduated Yes Prep in June of 2024.  Jayden began his higher education journey at Houston Community College.  He was in preparation to continue his academic endeavors in San Antonio as he pursued a career in child psychology.

Jayden is preceded in death by grandmothers Joyce Loud and Delores Blount; great grandmother Mercedes Coleman.  He is survived by mother Ebony Hall; father Boyd Blount; sister Serenity Hall; grandfather Gerald Riley; Uncle Carlton and numerous more aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
