Jerry W.
Cheatham
Jul 9, 1954 — Jul 8, 2025
Jerry Wayne Cheatham was born on July 9,1954 in Hughes Springs, Texas to his parents Clarence and Alice Cheatham. After graduating from Hughes Springs High School in 1972, he then relocated to Houston, Texas. After attending Texas Southern University, he graduated with a degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration and became a serious entrepreneur in industry.
Jerry and Angela Cheatham entered marriage on August 27, 1977., after 6 of meeting one another. This union yielded 48 years of consecutive marriage, a testament what God does when He is present. Since Jerry never used his political science degree, he quickly fell back on the discipline of Business when starting his family. This would prove to become a major move that would propel Jerry to serve in the oil and gas industry for the next 40 plus years. He diligently worked in different settings as a Senior Buyer for various companies locally and abroad.
Jerry also became a faithful member of New Faith Church, where he served in the "Love Ministry" and his Wife Angela server in the adult choir. While serving this ministry, nourishment would give him the chance to serve the Lord in his own capacity.
On July 8, 2025, one day before his 72nd birthday, Jerry was called from hard labor to reward. He was preceded in transition by his Brother Kelvin Cheatham, Mother Alice Cheatham, Father Clarence Cheatham, and Nephew Quinten Cheatham
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Angela Cheatham; sons Jermaine and Jeremy; grandsons Jakhy and Admire; brother and wife James and Rosie, and nephew Bryan Cheatham, and host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, many friends, and neighbors.
The memories of all the great fishing stories, laughs, and sound advice will always be cherished with Jerry Wayne Cheatham in our hearts forever.
