Obituary

John Wesley Walls Sr., was born February 4,1947 to Octavia and Charlie Hilton Walls Sr. in Lecompt, LA.. He attended and graduated from Aransas County High School in Rockport, TX. Pursuing his education further, he first attended Texas Southern University and finished on "The Hill" at Prairie View A & M University. While attending PVAMU, he met and dated Constant Scroggins  until their marriage on August 4, 1973. From this union, four children were born, Latasha, John Jr., Jamill, and Juwan. Throughout his lifetime he wore many hats from working in a diner, an insurance agent, tree service, lawn service, handyman and eventually spent 27 years as a refinery operator with Shell Chemical in Pasadena, Texas..  His GREATEST enjoyment after retirement was becoming a grandfather or "Pa Pa" as he was affectionately called.

His spiritual journey led him to multiple church homes including New Loyalty Baptist Church, Greater St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, Rockport Church of God, and Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was also an avid member of the Sibling Bible Study Group established in early 2023.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Constant Marie Walls, his mother, Octavia C. Walls, his father, Charlie Hilton Walls Sr., his brothers, James Walls Sr., Charlie Walls Jr., Isaac Walls, and Willie Walls and his sisters, Annie Bell Jefferson, Ada Matthews, Rachel Luddington, and Bertha Bell.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory  Latasha (James), John Jr. (Shanetta), Jamill, and Juwan, his 6 grandchildren Jayden, Kaiya, Isaiah, Leah, Madison, and Hailee, his loving siblings, Shirley Grimes (Calvin), Mary Whitfield (Dan), Annie Jean Burns, Rudolph Walls and a host of sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
