Katherine Gayle Malrey Williams (Sister Williams, Mommy, Mama) was born March 28, 1952 to the parents of Reverend Major Garland Malrey, Sr. and Sister Odessa Beals Malrey in Kilgore, Texas. Sister Williams attended the public schools of Kilgore, Texas and Houston, Texas and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas.
At an early age, Sister Williams joined the Kilgore Baptist Church. As a result of relocating to Houston, Texas, she joined Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church. She was also one of the founding members of Peters Rock Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Ellison. Sister Williams later joined Mountain Fellowship Church; she loved and enjoyed her church and was a faithful member until her health began to fell.
Sister Williams worked in the food industry and retired from the medical industry as a physical therapist. She had a loving and caring heart. She enjoyed caring for and assisting her patients. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply; she loved family. She also cared for other children as though they were her own.
