Kenneth Ray Davis

Kenneth Ray Davis was born in Houston, Texas on July 7, 1952 to John and Doretha Davis.

He received his formal education from Houston Independent School District, graduating from Jack Yates High School in 1970.

He was blessed to meet the love of his life, Brenda, who would become his wife and companion throughout his life’s journey. Together they built a bond that will forever remain a part of their family’s story, while raising three children.

Throughout his life, he was a hardworking and committed man who took pride in providing for his family. He dedicated many years of hard work and service to Sara Lee, where he worked as a route salesman until his retirement.

Kenneth enjoyed being around his family and watching his Dallas Cowboys.

Kenneth passed away quietly on October 7, 2026. He is preceded in death by his mother, Doretha Steele; stepfather Richard Steele; his father John Davis and brothers Ronald and Dwight Davis.

He is survived by his wife and the three children they raised, James, Sherry (Kirk), and Sean (Charissa). He was a proud grandpa to Jaida, Joi, Jacob, Jase, Jordan, and Cayde. Kenny is also survived by his sisters, Sue Galloway and Bernadette Greene and a host of family, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
