Obituary

Kennith Ray Edwards Jr., fondly known as "Kenny," is the second son of Audrey and Kennith Edwards Sr. Born December 7, 1976, at Park Plaza hospital in Houston, Texas. At the age of 8, he joined Mary Olive Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by Reverend Aris Hickman.

A rambunctious son loved by everyone. He never met a stranger. Given any situation, good or bad, Kenny could turn it into joy. Kennith proudly attended Blackshear Elementary, Johnston Middle School, and infamous Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas.  He later earned his GED from Houston Community College's main campus in downtown Houston. He continued his education at a local trucking school. Using his training and CDL license, Kenny was employed by numerous trucking companies. The last employer was the International Longshoremen's Association. Other accolades include OSHA certification, Forklift certification, and TWIC card registration. Kenny's claim to fame is his outstanding culinary skills. And yes, he could rap with the best of them, thereby releasing a rap album, The Rap Game.

Preceded in death by father Kennith Ray Edwards Sr., grandparents Aaron & Ardella Garrett, Thomas & Ruth Edwards, uncles, Verlin, Calvin, Wilber, and Claudell Garrett (Godfather).

He leaves behind his loving mom, Audrey Edwards, his brother Gregg Garrett, and his aunts Berline Garrett, Bernadine Garrett, and Edna Garrett (Godmother), Chaney Stern (Dan), Linda Morton, uncle Thomas Edwards Jr., Marvis Hall (Godsister) & Alexander Bering (Godbrother) and a host of cousins and friends.
