Lanyahsa Phlea Franklin was born on July 22, 1987, in Houston, TX at Ben Taub Hospital to Willie Ray Singletary and Gloria Jean Franklin. Known by her nickname "Bishe", she attended Ryan Elementary, Marshall Middle School, and graduated from Jefferson Davis Highschool in 2006.

She gave her life to Christ at the age of seven and was baptized at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Robert Perry. She was a believer in Christ and leaned on him during her trying times.  One of her favorite inspirational gospel songs was "Break Every Chain".

Bishe could hold a good conversation, which is why she excelled professionally as a dispatch operator at American Residential Services (ARS).

She was a vibrant, outgoing young lady who enjoyed life to the fullest and would make sure others around her enjoyed themselves.  She was beloved by her co-workers, family, and friends.  She had a fascination for Mickey Mouse.  You could often find her sporting a Mickey Mouse shirt, hat, phone case, and even a costume during Halloween.

She carried a special bond with her beloved daughter.  Her nickname for her daughter was "My Nouty Pooh".  Bishe was proud to be a mother and encouraged her Nouty Pooh to pursue her dreams.  She was also excited to become a grandmother.  She was right by her daughter's side giving the world a live update from the delivery room as her granddaughter was being born.

She loved and cared for her family.  She often went out of her way to serve others before serving herself.  If family or friends found themselves in a dire situation, Bishe would be right there to give a helping hand.

She leaves to cherish her precious legacy; grandparents: Eartha Lee Jones (Grandmother); Mary Jean Collins (Grandmother), parents: Gloria Franklin (Mother); Willie Singletary (Father), daughter: Wilanishia Franklin, granddaughter: Ka'Mari Simpson, siblings: Willie (Alandria) Franklin; Dominique (Ojae) Matthews; Alton (Jessica) Franklin; and William Franklin; as well as a host of nieces and nephews that she adored; family and friends.
