LaRonnda Marie Berry-Simpson was born November 2, 1976, in the year of our Lord to the loving union of John Preston Berry, Jr & LaVerne Lane Berry. LaRonnda loved God and was blessed early in life with God fearing parents, LaRonnda was taught and continued to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ until the time of her death April 25, 2024.

LaRonnda was a proud graduate of Pearland High School. LaRonnda loved learning and excelled in her educational endeavors. LaRonnda received her Master of Business Administration-Texas Southern University and Bachelor of Science, Accounting Finance-Stephen F. Austin University. LaRonnda continued to seek knowledge beyond her college experience as she earned many certifications while advancing her outstanding career including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AZ 103: Microsoft Azure Administrator.

Laronnda's love story began when she met and united in holy matrimony with her loving husband Praygene Simpson. Laronnda was a dedicated wife, she and Praygene lived a Christ centered life of love. Their wedding day was a day she felt was in accordance with Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice." LaRonnda loved her husband, and they shared an unbreakable bond filled with dreams and desires to love each other forever.

LaRonnda was a dedicated employee of Microsoft Corporation, in her tenure she served in many roles including, Principal Compliance Manager, Senior Project Manager and Senior Manager - Finance Compliance Group. Prior employers include many leading corporations America International Group (AIG), Texas Medical Center, Kellogg, Brown, and Root (KBR) and Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC)

LaRonnda was a servant leader, helping others was her earthly mission and her heart's work.

1 Corinthians 16:14, embodies the essence of LaRonnda's impact on everyone she met," Let all that you do be done in love". She could always be found volunteering in many educational, financial, and technological organizations. LaRonnda served as mentor to many youth and young adult professionals.  LaRonnda will forever be remembered by everyone she encountered; she gave tirelessly to many people. LaRonnda lived a life of love, excellence, happiness and joy. LaRonnda's impact will transcend time through her mentees as they model her impact in their personal and professional lives.

LaRonnda belief and love in Jesus Christ as a born-again believer was a active member of the Church of Christ. Laronnda served in many organizations including National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Chairperson of Blacks at Microsoft Houston (BAM), Women in Tech, Houston Alliance of Black Accountants and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents John Preston Berry, Sr., Ella Louise Berry, her maternal grandparents Willie S.Q. Marshall, Odessa Marshall and her uncle Dwight Berry.

LaRonnda memories will forever be cherished by her loving husband Praygene Simpson. Parents John and LaVerne Berry, her beloved dog Amanda, her two sisters JaLanda Berry-Williams (Averill) and Ullanda Patrice Berry. Her in-laws Mona Gray, Iola Simpson, Roosevelt Anderson (Nequila) and Angela Gibson (John), aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

LaRonnda touched countless lives with her love, joyful spirit, and kindness, we will continue to seek peace in our Lord and Savior words of comfort 2 Corinthians 5:8, "we are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord", she will truly be missed.
