On September 2, 1937 Leon McCall Jr. was born to the late Leon McCall Sr and Maxine McGowan McCall in Houston Texas. He was raised in Fifth Ward (Kelly Courts) and attended the Legendary Phyllis Wheatley Senior High School as a proud graduate of the Class of 1958. Leon went on to attend Texas Southern University, where he will meet the love of his life Rosa Dickerson, where they will go on to get married on November 27th 1959 after the annual Wheatley vs. Yates football game! On May 14, 1961 Rosa and Leon McCall gave birth to a son by the name of Ronald Dwayne McCall in Houston Texas. Leon would go on to work for the United States Postal Service (USPS) for 25 years strong. In his spare time he enjoyed dancing and a great game of dominoes with family and friends. His favorite artist was Luther Vandross hands down.

He was preceded in death by (father)Leon McCall, Sr. (Mother) Maxine McGowan McCall, (Grandmother) Anne McCall, (Sister) Ruby McCall Butler, and Rosa McCall.

He leave to cherish his love and legacy to his Son Ronald Mccall(Tammy McCall), Grandchildren Ronald Johnson(Tamika Taylor-Johnson), Meagan Mccall, Brandon McCall, Brother, Brooklyn McCall, Edward McCall, (Sister )Ruby McCall Butler, (Sister) Darlene McCall, Nieces Monica Butler, Monique Butler, nephew Broderick Butler, and a host of nieces nephews and cousins.
