Linda Shannon was born on July 20, 1951, in Houston, Texas to Robbie White and Vernon Smith, who proceeded her in death. Linda was a devoted Christian who attended St. Agnes Baptist Church faithfully until she became ill. She lived a very fulfilling life, cherished as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Linda's life was full of joy and love. She never waived from her kind spirit and that is what drew people to her.

In her teenage years, Linda attended and graduated from Kashmere High School. Later in life, she met Donald Shannon Sr. at a nightclub in Acres Homes. While on the road, Don would send Linda cards expressing how much he missed and felt about her. Their relationship blossomed into marriage, and they were blessed with a son, Donald Shannon Jr. Linda worked many years for Hurts Oil and Gas as an Administrative Assistant.

Linda was preceded in death by Robert Earl(brother), Eugene(brother), and Earlyne(sister-in-law).

Linda will forever be remembered and cherished by her loving son and daughter- in-law; Donald Jr. (Lisa), stepdaughter; Yolonda, grandchildren; Ashley, Briana (Devonte), Cameron, Donoven, and Landon, great grandchildren; Amyra, Blaklie, McKynley. Sisters and brothers; Theodore Jr., Elaine (Robert), Johnnie, Lorette (Ronnie), along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who loved her dearly. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her love for people.

We are heartbroken that she had to leave us, but we are comforted in knowing we will see her again one day.
