Margaret Louise Williams Green was born in Houston, TX on December 28, 1938. She was the 6th child born to the union of Alex Williams and Celia Clayborne Williams.
As a child, Margaret united with Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of Dr. Moses Leonard Price. She remained an active member until she relocated to Los Angeles, CA after graduating from High School. In 1965, she united with Bethany Baptist Church of West Los Angeles under the leadership of Pastor Rocellia Johnson. As a member, Margaret was involved in various ministries. She was the overseer of the Counseling Center, member of the National Evangelism Movement Team, taught Evangelism 106 for the Bethany Christian Bible College, and a teaching member of the evangelism team. She achieved many accomplishments all requiring major time commitments as she had a heart of sacrifice for our Lord.
In 2011, Margaret relocated back to Houston, TX to be closer to her immediate family. On September 6, 2014, she united with Greater True Light Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Women of Excellence & Culinary Ministries.
Margaret was a graduate of Jack Yates High School Class of 1956. She continued her education by receiving her Bachelor's Degree from California State University and her Master's Degree from the University of Southern California. She completed her education by receiving her Degree of Juris Doctor in 1981 from the School of Law Northrop University.
She retired from the County of Los Angeles in 201 Oas a Social Worker. She lived here life to the fullest. She loved to travel, and she was an advent watcher of MSNBC and CNN news channels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Celia Williams, brothers; Alex Williams, Jr. Billy Lorenzo Williams and Donald Williams; sisters, Rose Marie Traylor and Doris Jean Brown.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memories, three nephews, Elehue Traylor, Jr, Alex Williams, Ill and Kevin Williams; three nieces, Jennifer Burns (Stanley}, Demetria Williams, and Shalimar McDaniel; a devoted caregiver, LaCretia Lewis; her best friend, Christine Wallace and a host of other nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
